There's actually very few uses of temp files in ecasound. Actually only
two features need them:
  - 'cs-edit' command
  - ogg input

... otherwise no temporary files are created. And for these two uses (and
any possible future new use), ecasound honors the "TMPDIR" environment

OTOH, I just noted this is not documented anywhere, so I now did that and
ecasound(1) now has:
         Some functions of Ecasound (e.g. "cs-edit" interactive command) require
         creation of temporary files. By default, these files are created under
         "/tmp", but this can be overridden by setting the em(TMPDIR) environment
