I've a problem with jack_auto. Ecasound always tries to connect to:
clientname:out_1, out_2,... I tried to give it a third parameter, but it
Then I tried using jack_generic, but I encountered another problem. I
ecasound -c -a:1 -i jack_gerneric,in -o t1.cdr -a:2 -i t.cdr -o
jack_alsa,out -a:3 -i null -o jack_alsa,out -pn:metronome,120
So then I came into the iam. Now I tried to connect ecasounds ins and
fluidsynth's outs. But ecasound's ports weren't there. So I just started it
once and stopped again. But now I coulnd't set t1.cdr (input of first chain)
to 0 position and the metronome was also out of rhythm.
So the next time I used the same command-line, but when entering iam I did:
Now the jackports were there, but I couldn't connect them. It said hangup
and the recording started just fine, but nothing was recorded to the file.
When I connected a port while recording it really connected.
How can I solve this problem? Is there a command like "open", which opens a
jackport so it has the same state, as if I really hit start once? cs-connect
somehow appears to fail. Or can I give the jack_auto a full portname like:
jack_auto,fluidsynth,left or jack_auto,fluidsynth:left?
If not, I assume this wouldn't be too difficult. Am I wrong?
thanks for any help!
My kindest regards
