I'll update on how ecasound is doing on Debian.
ecasound | 2.0.1-3 | testing | source, alpha, arm, i386, m68k, powerpc, sparc
ecasound | 2.0.1-3 | unstable | source, alpha, arm, i386, m68k, powerpc, sparc
i.e. ecasound has been compiled on gcc-2.95 on i386, m68k, powerpc, sparc, arm, and alpha...
hmm.. This means it hasn't been built for hppa (using gcc-3.0 as the default compiler)
and ia64 (using gcc-2.96 as the default compiler).
I have not heard of patches or problems, yet. I guess I will be receiving patches
from the porters since Debian is starting its freeze for the next release.
I will forward such fixes here, when something is available.
In the meantime, I may try playing with gcc-3.0 on i386...
