Ok, here's something a bit more complicated. I have two files,
one is a 4 second drum-loop, and another is a full-length track.
Now I'll set up ecasound to create a 4-second loop where the drum
loop is used to modulate the other track. So here it goes:
ecasound -a:1 -i drum_loop.wav -o null -eS:1 \
-a:2 -i track04.wav -y:20 -o /dev/dsp \
-ea:100 -ksv:1,0,50,1,0 -t:4 -tl
... and seems to work ok! And of course, same works with
any other effect. Replacing the last line with...
-epp:50 -ksv:1,5,80,1,0 -t:4 -tl
... now the drum loop is modulating stereo panning of the
other track. Oh well, getting weird, I know... :)
