hi all..

not sure this is "correct" spot for this question but here goes.......
i'm trying to patch my 2.4.0-test9 kernel with low-latency which I know
DOES work very well

the one app i have at moment ( till i get new s card ) has performed very
well after running hdparm
whereas before slouched with latency.........don't know if the programmer
put in low-latency code or not that might be issue as well but at least
with hdparm settings i'm getting MUCH better results and thats is WIHTOUT
the kernel being patched..

which leads me to the main deal..

i patched with the correct patch for my 2.4.0 kernel and it all seemed to
go fine once but after rebooting i got

a blinking underline cursor and a totally HUNG system.....ouch..so much for
the patch or I've missed a step somewhere......

then i erased /usr/src/linux and redownldoaded my kernel and redid it again
with xconfig...
got everything set right and now i can't even get bzImage to go thorugh

getting this see below...and thanks in advance for any help...yes i've sent
this to redhat-list, kde and gnome.. :)
