I must admit that the current situation of ecasound, qtecasound and
ecawave dependencies is a mess. I should have handled this better, but oh
well, got be more careful in the future. Anyway, here's some info:

Well, I admit that the current situation is a bit confusing. This is
mostly caused by the recent separation of ecasound and qtecasound into

Ah, qtecasound is meant for the new 1.8.x series. The correct package
for ecawave 0.2.x and ecasound 1.7.x is ecasound-qt-1.7.9 (during 1.7.x
development, qtecasound was still part of ecasound, and thus distributed
in ecasound-qt package).

Development versions of ecawave and qtecasound are linked against specific
versions of ecasound (only stable releases are compatible binary-wise).
For ecawave 0.3.2d3 and qtecasound 0.1.1, you need to install ecasound
1.8.3d15 (this is meantioned on ecawave's and qtecasound's web site, on
the download page).
