I took an mp3 that had some music in it and wanted to extract a song. The
song begins at 170.5 and continues to 411.3. Therefore, based on what I
read in the documentation, I tried this.
ecasound -i /spare/mp3/file1.mp3 -o /dev/dsp -y:170.5 -t:240.8 -tl
what I got?
well it started at position 0
so I added a -c to it
now if I am tooling along in the file and then do the -t flag, when it
loops, it will go back to wherever it was when I happened to hit the
Later, I discovered that what you really want to do is -y:170.5 -t:411.3
but that didn't really work either, so now I had to do
now if it is playing along, and it is not interrupted, as it gets to
411.3, it continues to play.
If, however, I setpos to 410, it plays for just over a second and
correctly loops to 170.5. (because I wanted to hear the song again)
so like what am I doing wrong?
